Reviews are listed by age category, and then genre in order of author surname.

I’m also going to try to list character marginalisations but, knowing me, I’m going to miss things. I’ll at least try to get main character and love interest IDs down. Ownvoices labelled when known but it gets complicated sometimes and I have a shit attention span.

If you see me use “sapphic” that means a woman attracted to women. I don’t use it all the time, only sometimes when IDs aren’t clear or I just don’t remember.

King, Catherine F. THE NINETY-NINTH BRIDE. Technically no romance but there is a forced M/F marriage. Retelling of 1001 Nights. Possibly ownvoices.

Wojtaszek, Kristina. CHAR. M/F. Dark-skinned MC but it’s handled badly.

Wright, Tristina. 27 HOURS. F/F, M/M, M/NB (side relationship). Queer ensemble cast inc. bisexual, pansexual, trans, asexual (rep is weird), gay, side character w they/them pronouns. Racially diverse cast but story has colonialist undertones. Deaf character, character with PTSD and panic attacks.
